End of the School Year Festivities

Where does the time go? Here we are the end of the school year. This week is Katie's last week of preschool at Kids Under Construction and Jerry finishes the first grade on Friday, June 8th. Katie's school had a Mother's Day tea two weeks ago, last week it was a Beach day/end of year picnic and this week she is participating in the KUC Graduation Program and on Friday they have an end of the year party.
Jerry has spirit night at Chick-Fila-A tonight where a portion of all proceeds go to Countryside Elementary. On Tuesday, June 5th Jerry has field day. On Thursday, June 7th his class is having a pizza party for lunch and the school is having an end of year picnic for dinner. And on Friday, June 8th school is over. WOW!
Next year Jerry will be in second grade at Countryside. Katie will attend preschool 5 days a week at Countryside and the twins will attend KUC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Everyone is growing up so fast!

5 months old

Monday, October 12th

So I have been awful about updating my blog, but I have decided to try to do better. The twins are officially 5 months old today and I have no idea where the time has gone. I have been crazy busy at work lately. I travel once a year for work and I was in Las Vegas last week. So I am back in town and work is slowing down a bit.

I recently read a book that has inspired me to try to update my blog. It is called Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. It is a really quick read. I read it on my flight home from Las Vegas and it reminded me how important it is to cherish all of the little moments in life.

So now that life has settled down a bit, I will try to update everyone with stories and photos of my beautiful family.

I need 2 appointments

Charlie and Caroline are 11 weeks old this week so they are just a week and a few days shy of beign 3 months old and I am still having reality checks about having twins. I obviously know that I have twins, but sometimes it still amazes me.
I called the doctor's office this afternoon to schedule their 4 month check up and after she gave me a date and time, I had to remind the nurse that I needed 2 appointments since I have twins. But yesterday at lunch I had a realization of what my life will be like in a few short months.

I had a lunch meeting yesterday and we went to P.F. Chengs in Arlington. There was a cute older couple holding a set of twins a few tables away from me. They were very proud grandparents holding what looked to be 8 month old twins. As they got up to leave the table, I saw that grandma was busy paying the bill. Grandpa got up with a baby, mom had a baby and mom's friend had a baby too--they were triplets with a 2 1/2 year old older sister. I smiled at the mom as she got up to leave with most people around her staring in amazement and thought to myself how thankful I am to have twins!

More Beach Photos

Thank Goodness someone else took pictures of the kids at the beach--Thank you Jess!
As you can tell Jerry loved the beach and the sand, Katie didn't care for the sand. Katie was more of a land lover. She discovered the swings at a nearby playground and would have stayed there for hours on end.

Pictures

As promised--here are a few updated pictures of the kids from our trip to the Outer Banks.

Back to Work

This is my first week back at work so I thought to keep my sanity I would start a blog to keep everyone updated on my status. I still have 4 children--I count them every morning to make sure I am not dreaming.

I am working on getting updated photos of the kids to share. We went to the Outer Banks last week and Uncle Ray took a ton of photos. I took my camera, but bewtween keeping up with Jerry, Katie, Charlie and Caroline I didn't seem to have time to take photos. But I have requested them and as soon as I receive them I will post them for everyone to see.
